Common Questions
How much does it cost to have a Washer or Dryer Repaired?
The standard service fee is $99 which includes the trip charge, diagnostic testing and full retest after diagnosis. This fee is applied toward any repair that is performed if the customer decides to have the repair completed. Average costs range $149 to $249 including all parts & labor charges. If any fatal flaws exist that prevent repair, the minimum fee will apply which is $99. It is one or the other, not both fees.

Is it cheaper to repair my washer/dryer or buy a new one?
In most cases, repair is the more affordable option, especially for appliances under 8-10 years old. As a general rule, if the repair cost is less than half the price of a new comparable unit, repairing usually makes more sense. We’ll always give you an honest assessment before you decide.
Why is my washer leaking water?
The most common causes are a worn door seal, a damaged hose or connection, or a clogged drain pump. Overloading the washer can also cause leaks. We can diagnose the exact source and usually repair it same-day.
Why is my dryer not heating up?
This is usually caused by a failed heating element, a tripped thermal fuse (often from a blocked vent), or a faulty igniter on gas dryers. A blocked dryer vent is one of the most common root causes, so we always check that first.
Why is my dryer taking multiple cycles to dry a single load?
This is almost always a sign of a clogged dryer vent restricting airflow. It’s one of the most common issues we see, and it’s also a fire risk if left unaddressed, so we recommend getting it checked promptly.
How often should I have my dryer vent cleaned?
We recommend annual dryer vent cleaning for most households. Homes with pets, large families, or longer vent runs may need it more often. Regular cleaning improves drying efficiency and significantly reduces fire risk.
Do I need to be home during the repair?
Yes, we do require someone 18 or older to be present during the appointment, both to grant access to the appliance and to be available if we have any questions about the issue.
Do you offer same-day or emergency repair service?
Yes, same-day service is available for most repair calls, especially when you call earlier in the day. Give us a call at (321) 446-5125 to check availability.
What areas of Brevard County do you service?
We proudly serve all of Brevard County, including Melbourne, West Melbourne, Suntree, Viera, Palm Bay, Rockledge, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Port St. John, and the surrounding areas.
Does Florida's heat and humidity affect my washer or dryer?
Yes, Florida’s humidity accelerates wear on rubber seals, gaskets, and electrical components, and can contribute to mold or mildew buildup in washers if they’re not used regularly. We factor this into every repair and can recommend maintenance tips specific to our climate.
Does living near the coast affect my appliances differently?
Homes in coastal areas like Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island deal with salt air, which accelerates corrosion on metal components faster than inland homes experience. If you’re near the coast, more frequent maintenance checks can help catch issues early.
